Anurag has thirty five years of experience in the energy sector during which he has gained excellent project management, general management and engineering design skills backed by a thorough technical understanding of the industry.

His experience covers large multidisciplinary projects and he has been responsible for the planning, design, plant specification, tender negotiation/award and site support for both transmission and distribution installations. In the formative years of his career, he gained valuable site experience and was responsible for the project management of the construction and commissioning of 400 kV/ 132 kV switchyards associated with a 2000 MW power station.

He subsequently held Senior Management/Executive positions in the industry. His responsibilities included project management, engineering design, construction supervision, operation and maintenance of electrical networks, marketing and business development in both the public and private sectors.

As an external industry specialist, he has assisted QUT in short tern courses on Contract Management and Substation Design.

He has authored and presented several papers on sustainable development, collaborative leadership, asset management and other transmission and distribution topics in the Asia Pacific region.

With more than 40 years of technical experience in the field of mechanical design engineering, Mr NK Roy is a thespian in the field.

He has been associated with various reputed government and private industries in India, and overseas where he has been responsible for many design engineering related projects in terms of detailed engineering, inspection, safety audits, technical trouble shooting and de-bottle necking.

Along with the industry, Mr Roy has been actively associated with the academia and has many technical publications to his name.

He also mentors university level dissertations and thesis. An eloquent speaker, he has graced the dice of many technical forums addressing issues on design, material selection, inspection of subjects like piping, pressure vessel, heat exchanger, bulk solid handling system, etc.

As Director of Charisma Group, he advises and trains the team on the different aspects of design engineering along with the use and implementation of relevant software in the mechanical engineering design area.
